The PeyoteFoundation
PO Box 778 Kearny, AZ 85237
Dedicated to the protection and promotion of the peyote cactus and its sacramental
use
By creating a working example, The Peyote Foundation will maintain the peyote
road for future generations. As a foundation, we will provide information
about the peyote cactus and its religions, develop
conservation programs for the species and
provide inspiration to those who choose the
peyote road. We encourage participation from everyone interested in preserving
the peyote, regardless of race or creed. Additionally, we believe harboring
the peyote to be a religious function in and of itself. Therefore, it is
our blessing and honor to responsibly preserve and propagate the peyote
at our facility in the Gila Valley of Arizona..
The Peyote Foundation Journal is the bimonthly
publication of The Peyote Foundation. Our journal is a communication and
education forum for the numerous and varied groups and individuals who are
interested in the divine cactus. Your subscriptions,
(One year - $25 US, $35 foreign), help support the work of the foundation
as well as provide informative correspondence, articles, news and cultivation
notes. We encourage submissions of original peyote
art, poetry, news articles and essays, as well
as related advertising materials.
We have initiated conservation efforts for the peyote cactus itself. The
Peyote Foundation has created a facility to grow the cacti and to further
develop intensive propagation methods. Currently, our sacramental
shadehouse harbors over 1000 peyote cacti that are being respectfully
cultivated for seed stock. Our goal is to establish a population of peyote
in Arizona and share our propagation knowledge with others who are interested
in creating their own sacramental garden.
Memberships in The Peyote Foundation are available
and encouraged, as are donations of time, labor, love and other resources.
